I finally uploaded the pictures of the birth of Jeremy. Today was the first time that I actually had to do it. I have pictures of the actually coming into the world but I think that this is the cutest of Jeremy and the proud mom, Shaina. He was born August 14th. Weighing in at 8 pounds 5 ounces and 21 1/2 inches long.

Today Jeremy was finally born! He is such a cutie.

Both mom and baby are doing well and fine. I have pics but stupid me left my camera in a friends car. So tomorrow I will post pics and more on the his arriving into the world.

A very long two days that is for sure. Shay looks a lot better that is for sure. She will be getting out of the hospital on Saturday

Well, no baby yet

We are going in on Sunday for her to get an ultra sound. After they look at that they might induce labor. So they told her to bring her things as she might be staying.

Now I am so excited but Monday is the first day of school for the boys! If they keep her to have the baby my daughter will have to take Nicky to school for me to make sure that he finds his classroom!

At least we have a few days to make preparations before Sunday! A few more days and Jeremy will FINALLY arrive

Horsing Around

Here is the first royal in line for the throne to ever appear in a commercial that is called Horsing Around. You are able to watch and giggle along with this. The land rover is one of the best vehicles for off road. We had one years ago and had so much fun with it on the Reubacan Trails.

So relax and sit back and watch Zara and the horse after the hear what this guy has to say to her. It is so cute! I am sure that this commercial will certainly be one to be remembered for a long long time! As we have all had some really dumb one liners said to us. I wish that I had a horse with me at times!

Slow Cooked Ribs

One dish that is always a favorite in I think anyone's home would be ribs. Either BBQ or slow cooked your family seem to not get enough.

I know that this week I have little to no time in cooking so I wanted a good meal but VERY easy. This one fit the bill

Slow Cooker Barbecue Ribs

INGREDIENTS

4 pounds pork baby back ribs
salt and pepper to taste
2 cups ketchup
1 cup chili sauce
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
4 tablespoons vinegar
2 teaspoons dried oregano
2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
* 1 dash hot sauce

DIRECTIONS

1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C).
2. Season ribs with salt and pepper. Place in a shallow baking pan. Brown in oven 15 minutes. Turn over, and brown another 15 minutes; drain fat.
3. In a medium bowl, mix together the ketchup, chili sauce, brown sugar, vinegar, oregano, Worcestershire sauce, hot sauce, and salt and pepper. Place ribs in slow cooker. Pour sauce over ribs, and turn to coat.
4. Cover, and cook on Low 6 to 8 hours, or until ribs are tender.

Ever thought that if you were a vegetable what you would be? I sat here and thought about what vegetable that I would actually want to be if I were to come back as one. I think that I would want to come back as an artichoke. For obvious reasons to those that know me well. haha

Cartier The Perfect Watch

Yesterday I was looking at my watches. Actually I was trying to find the one that has a sweep hand. Of course each of the watches that I won all the batteries are now dead and I need to replace them in the next couple of weeks. Today while we were out I started to look at watches and could not find anything that I really liked at all. I have two watches that are for dress and the rest are all for everyday use so I am looking for one that is in the middle I guess you could say.

I was running a search and came upon the site, the Watchery and they have an entire site dedicated to the finer watches including one of my favorites, Cartier. They had many of the Cartier watches on sale. They are so pretty and extremely well made. More than a little out of my budget but I still sat and drooled, I mean looked at them choosing my dream watch.

An example of a sale price was a Cartier watch that was only $2,750. Not a bad price really for what you are buying. There are other famous makers on this site as well so you are assured to find a famous maker watch but at a lower price than most sites will have listed.

If I were to be able to buy a Cartier watch this would definitely be the site that I would go to. As the site is easy to navigate and locate at a glance what maker I was looking for. The prices along with the great discounts are wonderful for those that are able to afford these higher priced watches.

One last thing. These are not knock offs or fakes. These are all the real deal with serial numbers for all watches. Which gives a big sigh of relief for online shoppers!

Any Time Now

Well, today is Shay's official due date. For the past few days she has had some really killer contractions that put the entire household on alert. I mean like big time.

Now, we are playing the wait game. I told the baby (yet another conversation to her tummy) to get out of there and come out now! haha Seems like he is not listening

Everyone is on pins and needles trying to make sure that everything is taken care of before the baby arrives. Oh, you know that he will come when there is something that needs to be done. I have the boys registrations this week so I said DO NOT go into labor until they are completed. haha

The anticipation is killing us! Of course he could very well wait until the 21st. I would win the money then

Home Restoration Stalled

For the past month we have been so busy with other things that we have put the home restoration projects on hold. With the baby due any second now we decided not to have all the mess and clutter around the time he was going to be born. It is so dusty when we are tearing down walls and such as they are old and heaven only knows what is actually in the older building material.

The Great Room is a project though that will take at least a year to renovate. Looking at the fixtures for it and finding just the right home theater sconces has been Jamie's job. Since he is in charge of the entertainment equipment. He is building the walls so the surround sound will be perfect and putting in a projector like screen for the TV. Should be pretty neat when that room is all done!

So until the baby gets here no work will be done. There is still a few warmer months ahead and always next year!
