Good luck with your cigarette battle. I gave up two years ago so now I am supposed to be some kind of big authority on the subject. If you want to quit, you can, keep telling yourself that. It is a very powerful addiction but you are stronger. One thing that helped me was the thought that no matter how satisfying one cigarette is, it is a thief of your time. And I personally was never sent to the moon when I smoked, calmed a little and then only sometimes. The effect was hardly worth the potential time that I could lose of my life.
Keep away from people who smoke if possible. eliminate all reminders of smoking. Forget nicotine replacement or gimmicky things... as new age as it sounds, for the most part the power must come within you. I have been in your shoes, as a matter of fact a year ago this week, I think....I wrote about it on my blog, "Bad Patient, bad hospital stay" and here we are a year later, and I still don't have any answers!!

The pain comes and goes, and scares the heck out of me everytime, but they say it's not my heart, or gallbladder, or any of the other things they have tested me for.

I hope you can get an answer and not be in the holding pattern, waiting game like I am!!
