The bathroom is looking so nice now. After the kids bought me the water heater we ventured to my all time favorite place the Church of Lowe's. Where else but in a place like this do you actually stand there and pray the basket does not fill up quicker than a blink of an eye? Or that the prices won't kill you?
I found a beautiful faucet set. I figured that I could have gone with the cheapo set and saved money but in a few months or so would change it. So popping the $160, although it hurt me to do so seemed like the right thing to do. It is one of those black oil rubbed sets. Of course, now everything that I need to go around this set is either $60 (trap) or more. But it is pretty and I really like it. I never thought I would ever spend that much on a bathroom faucet set. EVER!
Jamie has done a great job in there. Of course Nick and Trev have helped also but the main labor of love has been Jamie. The flooring is laid and there is nothing like new linoleum. The color is an earth tone so the wall colors will blend nicely.
The framing of the other walls have been started. Really be happy when this is done. Going in there you would have never thought it possible that this bathroom is where it is right now. It was a nightmare to start with.
The next step is the bathroom sink. We were going to use the original which is an antique but I saw one that is a lot prettier and would be the perfect fit for this bathroom. With the sink and the medicine cabinet that matches there goes another near $400. Oh well, once its done its done. Know what I mean? haha The antique sink will go in the bathroom downstairs.
Sometimes restoration of a house sucks. Worth it in the end.
