I know exactly what you're saying. My daughter had a blog that she had done exactly NOTHING with in months. Google gave it a PR3. She did exactly ONE paid post and her pr dropped to zero - within 24 hours!
That was what prompted me to remove the google AdSense from my sidebar and replace it with this image (feel free to use it): http://otherendoftheinter.net/media/NEGATE.gif
Paid post is fine. What Google doesn't like are the nofollow links in the content of the post.
Anyway, SocialSpark is also a paid post service and it's currently in Alpha testing. What makes SS different is that all links will be nofollow which complies with Google. So, doing paid post with SS will not get your blog spanked by Google but we'll just have to wait for it though. |
