MP4 Player Dead

I just purchased a MP4 player not even 3 months ago. Buying any type of electronics is expensive. Now this particular one is in the price range of $150 and it is already broke. Sending it to RCA to fix will be an additional $80. Imagine that.

I read the reviews on this player the other day and each and every reviewer said the same thing. It is a piece of crap. Breaking, freezing after three months. Mine is frozen. They told how you might be lucky if it re-sets its self as there is NO re-set button.

I am a little more than angry. I should have researched this before I bought it. I usually do but I saw it and really liked it a lot. Now I am paying the price in having to buy another one.

I will buy one next month I guess. I am still monkeying around with the one I have. My daughters and son in law told me which one to get this time so that is what I will do. There goes another $150+

RCA is a good name too. Things that I watch out for when I buy electronics: very low prices and unknown brand names...I've never had success going that route.

And you're right, research your prospective purchase on the internet. That has saved me lots of headaches.

That's unfortunate. I heard the same thing about iPods a while ago - how they are known to break easily and are expensive to fix, if you want to even go through the trouble to get them fixed - but I have had my iPod for a little bit over a year with good luck so far.

You could try a 3rd party website to see if you could get it fixed for cheaper, but that could be risky. You might as well put the money towards a different, new MP4 player instead...
