Grandfather Time

One thing that I am looking for in the restoration of my home is good, quality pieces of furniture. The Great Room, with its high ceiling is the choice room to add the big, tall bulky furniture that would fit in perfectly.

One such item that I have been looking into and that is of the Howard Miller clocks. These timepieces are built to last. With the quality of workmanship you know that they will stand the test of, well, time.

Obtaining a reasonable price for these grandfather clocks is somethign that if you have ever searched is hard to do. I finally ran across one such place.

Browsing their stock I ran across the perfect time piece that would fit in with my room. The piece that I fell in love with was the Miller Majestic Grandfather Clock. One reason that this is a choice for me is that it has the 6 glass shelve for displaying antiques, which I have quiet a few. I also liked the idea that it has a locking door to prying hands away from these fine pieces. The design, along with the height is absolutely picture perfect for my room.

The decision for this particular clock was not one that was easy as so many of the clocks would fit our home decor perfectly. Big, bulky, beautiful.

Having been around clocks all my life as my father repaired antique and collectibles he had two favorite makers. And the tips and hints in the article were very good ones. Well written and not over the head in what they were trying to get across to the reader.
