House Painting Students

When I was walking back from getting the mail today I looked at my house. It really needs a new paint job. Since the house is a three story that is a lot of work and I don't think that my troop here will be able to do it on their own.

Thinking about who and what company to look into to get the job done, the thought came to me about College Pro. This company uses college student jobs to paint homes.

I personally have heard of this company as they have been in business since the 70's and has a really good reputation with the quality of workmanship. One of the key points that attracts me in thinking about hiring this company to do house painting is that the painters as full time college students that work during the summer to earn money for either the next fall or for summer expenses. Which is a great opportunity as it teaches the students a worthy profession to have something they can always fall back on in the future.

Each year this company along with the student painters paint nearly 30,000 homes. That is a lot of work!

All the franchises are run by college students that are managers. Being trained by College Pro. Giving the students not only the painting skills but for developing managerial and financial skills that apply to any career. This is a necessary skill for any student that is planning on becoming a business owner or wishing to excel in some type of management position.

Plus for the home owner, you may read the site to find out all about the company, policies and everything in between.

The site is clean and easy to navigate. I do not think they left anything out for the person that is browsing their site for resource information.

I think that hiring a company that hires college students is one of the best ideas out there. It is much like everyone is helping the other at the same time.

The experience I had with College Pro wasn't so great, but I think it was that the student manager was overwhelmed and/or under-trained. I guess it would be like any other business... your mileage may vary.
