These Boots Are Made For Working

My son this summer will be working construction. Good pay for really hard work in the blazing sun. It will be very good for him that is for sure.

I told him that the one thing that we are going to have to get him is a pair of safety toe boots. At first he moaned and groaned but after a couple of stories about his dad and what happened to him years ago, let's just say that he came around.

MR - be sure he knows that those shoes/boots will get very hot in the summertime.
The metal in the toes gets very hot in the sun.
You also need to get socks that are absorbent and also padded - but not too thick.
I know this from sore-foot experience working an auto-salvage yard.
Get some gel-insoles.
Thin, absorbent socks and gel-insoles.
Be aware that the steel-toes get heated in the sun.
He can also save himself some sore-foot problems by using a spray
for athlete's foot before work and when he gets back home.
Cools down the feet and helps keep nasty things from happening.
Sounds like a great way to grow up and earn some 'bread'.
Would he be working the new ethanol plant I read about?
If so - he's got a good job at a good place.
Construction is good and the money is also good.
A little dusty and dirty but that can be dealt with.
