Upon receiving this book to read I must admit I had my worries. I am not one to be very interested in this type of material. Yet, I am an avid follower of Ms Stamps so I was more than happy to sit and read with an open mind.
I picked up the book, settled in for a read and three hours later I was finished. I had lost all track of time and was totally captivated by the characters and the plot of the book. Shaking my head in disbelief I had to laugh. The characters were alive, feeling as if they were actually a part of my inner circle. Feeling that their lives at times were parallel to mine in certain ways. The ups and downs and the way in which their passion for their deities in aiding them on their path of life.
Showing the reader with a deep devotion and perseverance, any obstacle in our lives may be over come. Each character, so very different yet alike carries the reader through a tip in their lives. Feeling as though you are walking side by side with them. Feeling their sadness, laughter and passion for what they believe in.
This is not just another fictional book. This is a book that actually makes you think and feel. Each character may resemble something of the person that is reading this book. My favorite character of the Witches of Dixie is Mirabella. Although I thoroughly enjoyed each other character of Ravena, Maylene and Savannah, Mirabella was one I could identify with the most.
Laura Stamps has created a refreshing series. With her way of mixing the real life situations with the magickal workings it shows clearly her devotion to her path, characters and readers.
The only bad part that I can tell you is that the book ended. Leaving the reader wanting more!
