Most think that those that follow one of the off the beaten paths such as Paganism, Wicca or whatever the new age spiritualistic name is, they remain there.
This is not necessarily the case. When a Pagan goes bad sometimes they are worse than a Christian preaching their one sided views.
An associate of mine has recently gone off the path of Paganism. Like others they have become after the decades of belief, disillusioned as to where the Pagans have gone.
They have not really gone anywhere but they have become nearly like those in the Christian realm. Preaching that theirs is the only way, mass marketing books and what they call resource material but in reality it is rubbish. Becoming more and more political instead of remembering what Paganism stands for.
Ah, the creed they used to follow is just that. A creed in the past. It has become a race of who can write the most rubbish that those sheep will follow.
Let me step off the soap box a moment. What happens to a lot of those that are no longer seeing Paganism as a way that is to follow is quiet simple to see. They become bitter. Very bitter that their beloved religion now has no basis any longer.
I feel for them, truly I do. I do not see why they should condemn those that are now the establishment in the eyes of weak minded Pagans and Wiccans alike. Let those that prey on the minds of those that wish to be told how to practice, when to practice and what to practice. They more than likely will not remain on the path very long anyway. Most have a sort of EDD in the spiritual world any way.
I am just glad that I am not either Pagan nor Wiccan. At least with a Chaotic you know where they stand and that they will still be standing there firm as a n Oak.
