Stephen King has done it again! The Mist by Stephen King due out in theaters November 21st.
Only the master of horror can come up with a movie like this. Stuck in a store with a group of people that the main characters that all react differently in this massive terrorizing situation.
For one thing there these what look like huge bug bats. I couldn't really tell what they were but they were horrifying. Watching the trailer when they hit the window I jumped a little bit.
This is going to be a great movie. Then again for the King fan, I am sure they will all be happy another film showing his warped mind will be showing.
People react differently in horrific situations. Most times they show the worst sides thinking of self preservation instead of the good of the crowd. Many will panic and cry uncontrollably. I remember being in a school lock down due to an intruder. Pretty scary when the walls that were made of steel came down and we were locked in unable to go out any where.
Of course since we were locked in, no windows to see out we had no idea what was going on. A few of the people immediately panicked. Not just a little but a lot. One of the people that I knew very well begin to make unreasonable demands on what everyone should or should not do. By the time this person was done taking over they had in fact made the situation worse in the room.
A few of the ladies cried, a few men just sat there like little boys feeling lost and unable to control even a thought. Truthfully, I just sat there and said it was probably nothing more than a drill for the parents showing what the school can and will do. Then again, with no communication from the office why think the worse?
Oh there were some name callings, fights from a couple people that I had always thought were very meek and mild. To my surprise they were not.
Whenever there is a disaster, human survival takes over. For some individuals it is not of the fittest and they are showing how deeply disturbed they really are deep down. I never did think the same way about those people.
I personally can not wait for this movie to come out. I love the King!
