Pandora's Casket

One thing is for certain everyone is out looking for deals and discounts for the things that they need. I know that I am always on the prowl for a good Sale.

Our family is one of those families that loves electrical gadgets. Big or small we are compelled to have something new in gadgetry. It seems that at least once a month or so someone sees something that they know they can not live without.

The newest addition to the list is Shay needs a new camera. Retard took his of course when he left so she is left without one. One of the first places that we looked at was Best Buy online. You can really get some good deals over there. And this is without those pesky coupons or rebates that you have to send in to get your money back. Luckily she found just the right one, at the right price I would like to add!

While you are over there looking for deals, stop by the section that has the funny TV ads. Some of them are really cute. I watched the one entitled Howie Visits His Son At Work. Howie makes me laugh at some of the things he says and does. You can watch this on Youtube and don't forget to vote and post a comment. Whatever you are looking for Best Buy is where the deals are!

With the nicer weather being here for a bit longer than an hour, it is now the time to start getting prepared for spring time weather. It has only been a handful of weeks since the last snow and cold front now we move on to tornadoes, torrential down pours and severe storms.

This week for two times a day they are sounding off the emergency warning siren as a practice for the weather that is arriving. Which in a way I suppose is good. Yet people are used to hearing it and do not pay any attention to it.

When we first moved here the emergency siren did not work properly. Yes, the hamster that turned the wheel to generate the siren had passed away, leaving us in the the town to judge by other means if it was in fact a severe enough wind storm to go to the basement. Even with the siren you can barely hear it over the gusts of wind so at times it is a pretty useless means of warning.

Now that we have lived here nearly 4 years we have learned not to listen to the alarm but to watch the weather or the weather map. You can tell when it is bad enough to start getting prepared.
The main thing is to make sure shoes, jackets and other things like that are easily accessible. Our plan is the same and is in place as to what to do. My youngest son knows the drill as well.


Spring is a welcome change here. We have learned here that with having all the seasons each one has its ups and downs. No matter what season is upon us being prepared for a natural disaster is always in the back of your mind. Especially spring and summer with the tornadoes.
But I will take the rain, wind and storms much better than the freezing cold any day!
