Pandora's Casket

I know that for Christmas a friend of mine has been looking for some older Harley parts. He is really having a heck of a time finding them for a reasonable cost. He is actually obsessive about it. I joked around with him being on a quest.

Now, I have found that I am as obsessive as well. Yet in a different way.

I have been playing a game called Cake Mania 3 and I am hooked! Trying to pass the levels is something that you just can't stop! It is like a mad rush to make these stupid cakes, decorate them and then to serve them.

You travel to different times and lands. Pretty neat really. I have been on one level for a few hours now. I just want to conquer it! haha I rarely if ever play games. I used to play Maple Story and that is just as bad. You are so caught up in leveling up that time is nothing.

So far today I lost hours. Loved every minute of it!

Guess what? I am off to play right now. Hoping that I can level again tonight before going to bed.

Just like searching for a new auto insurance policy it gets tiring eating turkey so much. It has only been a few days and the novelty has already worn off.

Tonight we opted for Taco Bell. haha

Last night though I did have turkey tacos and they were absolutely tasty! Healthy as well so I didn't mind making a pig out of myself.

We still have plenty of turkey left. Since I made two turkeys there is enough meat to last another couple of days. I threatened to make turkey soup. The kids did not like that idea at all. haha I might do it any way as I love the broth.

Anyone else tired of turkey yet???

One thing that I miss about California is that we could more or less grow any types of foilage or trees. Being able to have Plum trees was a plus. OK, I didn't like the mess and the bugs but the fruit was yummy after the tree matured.

Now, I am looking into the various foliage and trees that I can grow here. Since we have such harsh weather at times it seems that there is not a big selection for me to choose from. Especially fruit trees.

In fact I really do not even recall seeing any. I could be wrong but I think one of the neighbors down the street has a cherry tree.

We have a lot of walnut trees though. We have a huge walnut tree in the yard. But with the harsh summer we had the nuts were few. Oh, the squirrels loved them. I left them on the tree and ground for the little vermin to have. They do love their nuts!

I have young boys in my family. One of the things that they always without fail ask for and that are remote controlled toys. Usually it is something along the lines of the rc helicopter so you catch my drift.

I went over to look at the site. And I was surprised at the low sale prices that they have listed. They are having a Black Friday sale that ends on Monday, December 1st.

I thought that the mini's were so cute. Finding them under $20 was a deal for me!

I am going back either tonight or tomorrow before the sale ends to purchase a couple of the remote controlled toys. I liked the truck and the helicopter the best. One for each boy

Great site for the holiday shopping season! Well, at least for me. As I was planning on spending a lot more.

For those of you that will be doing shipping this holiday season remember that if you are shipping using Priority you should take advantage of the free shipping supplies that the post office offers.

You are able to ask at the counter for any and all envelopes, boxes and stickers and they will give it to you right then and there. For those of you with fibromyalgia this might come in handy.

For those that are planning on shipping a lot you can also take advantage of the PO shipping these items directly to your door. Usually though you have to order in larger quantities of bundles. For example 10's and 25's. But if you are selling a lot you will use them up.

Delivery time is less than 10 days. I have always been lucky and had deliveries in a weeks time.

I have a business account with the Po and everything is right there for my ease of obtaining packaging and scheduling pick ups.

Utilize the post office and all the services they have for free!

This past Friday I had to call to talk to the agent about my las vegas hotel reservations that I made a couple of months ago.

It has to be put off die to my father's failing health and I just would not feel comfortable leaving the family during this time.

They were wonderful to work with. Giving me an open calendar to re-set my reservations. AND without a penalty. How cool is that?

I figured that I would have to shell out more money to change it or just have it open.

It was a nice surprise and very welcome at that.

Now I do not have to worry about loosing any money. Travel plans can always be made again. One less thing to think about!

I am thinking about maybe making it a Spring trip. Might be more fun.

This year with the economy being so bad it looks like sales might be down a little. Sending the promotional pens did make a difference. I had a lot more repeat business from people that purchased things other than oils and herbs.

People use pens. It is one thing that they keep around until someone takes it Writing your store name and URL is one of the best advertising methods to me. It does not cost a lot and you will in fact get business this way.

If they have forgotten who they bought something with, they will remember that they have a pen with your URL and name on it. Works at least 80% of the time with my clients.

Just add a pen or even a magnet to your items and see them return!

When I woke up this morning there was snow all over the place.

Now, the weather people had said there would be snow, but truthfully I don't believe half of what they say and the other half I laugh at.

Well, they were right on the money this time. We have a nice blanket of snow here and it is so pretty!

I guess we are supposed to have snow a vast amount of this week. Hopefully it won't be snowing in the morning when I take Nick to school. Boy, that will be so cold!
