Pandora's Casket

It's here. The holiday shopping palooza. Trying to think about what to get everyone and where to find that item at a cost that will not break your pocket book. Just like Santa, we are making a list and checking it twice. Not so much for the naughty or nice but making sure that we get what we want for our friends and loved ones. In our economic crunched time stretching the all mighty dollar seems to be the fore front instead of really finding the special gift. Not that we still are not doing that we just want to make sure that our dollar goes further.


Kmart is I believe one of the few stores that is still offering this service to the public. It really does help many folks with stretching the budget as making the payments seems a little easier. Not to mention you have those gifts on hold now so you are not taking the chance that when you wish to purchase it the item is no longer there, and out of stock.

Another point about lay aways is that if you have small children this is a wonderful way to keep those presents away from prying eyes and hands trying to seek out those presents a head of time. Bringing them home just in time to wrap and place under your tree. Think of the surprise when they see the presents that they could not find. Surprise to all! I know that I would love to put this excercise machine on lay away for my daughters present this year!

Using the Kmart lay away plan you are able to get a jump on shopping for a small total of the entire balance. A smart way to shop this holiday season.

Even though it has been a couple of days that has gone by I am still so glad that the election is over with. Has absolutely nothing to do with who one or who lost. It has to do with the mail.

It has been so nice to open my mail box and not be swarmed with political papers that lined my garbage can each and every day. Every day there was at least 8 pieces of something, from large heavy duty paper to small post cards littering my mail box. The only thing that I did with the paper litter was toss it. Not reading one of them. It was like the saying goes Seen one you have seen them all

The other thing were the TV commercials and the I approve this message. Of course you did you were the one that made the damn commercial. I do not think that the general public is that stupid not to already know that. But over and over this statement was made. Even to the point that you heard people saying it to each other. OR you were seeing it on peoples blogs. Towards the end it was not funny any more just plain annoying.

With all the litter that was being mailed, especially towards the end it slowed the mail as well. Oh, the PO will claim that it did not but it did. I had an over whelming amount of late or delayed packages during the last two weeks that normally would have zipped right through the system. Now, we can go back to the normal late mailing process that at least I am used to.

Just think in another 4 years we get to do this over again. I hope the time goes by slowly.
