What the heck happened here? Since I have been following all this lately I am more than a little confused. One thing is for certain, my son was a little pissy.
This is one reason I have been trying to follow some of this golfing news. He brings things up and I have no real idea who he is talking about. Now I am becoming familiar with some news!
This is the article that I read and found out the whys.
JOHN DALY won't be competing in this week's Irish Open but Europe may soon see more of the embattled American as he's considering playing full-time on the European Tour.
After posting a closing round of 67 in the Italian Open in Milan to finish on 13 under-par, Daly said: "I would just love to be playing at Adare Manor but my charity event in my home town Arkansas means a lot to me so I have to be there.
"My next event is supposed to be the St Jude Championship in Memphis but I am considering playing in the Wales Open.
Daly, who is without a Tour card in the USA but has a two-year exemption for the European Tour, added: "I would not rule out playing a full season in Europe because there is just so many courses on the PGA Tour where you can't hit driver like you can in Europe."
South African Hennie Otto finally landed his first European Tour -- but only after he had lost a five-shot lead for the second time in his last four tournaments.
The 31-year-old, beaten in a play-off by Scot Alastair Forsyth in Madeira in March, was caught by England's Oliver Wilson.
However he held firm and two-putted the last hole for a 69 and 25-under aggregate of 263, one outside the tournament record of Percy Alliss -- father of television commentator Peter -- way back in 1935.
