Pandora's Casket

A report on the Earth Day ceremony and festival at Circle Sanctuary Nature Preserve was part of today's Earth Day coverage on Chicago Public Radio.



"A Pagan Earth Day" was broadcast this morning on the "Eight Forty-Eight" news & culture program, and will air again at 8 pm central daylight time tonight on WBEZ 91.5 fm in the greater Chicago, Illinois area.



The radio report included remarks from Selena Fox, High Priestess of Circle Sanctuary, and several community members as well as some of the music from the ritual and the sounds of the restorative prairie burn that followed the ceremony.

Happy Earth Day!

One place that I would love to is to China. Not so much for the regular sites to visit but for another reason. I would love to go to the various sections to shop in the medicine shops. With the fresh herbs and various concoctions that would be a dream come true for me.

I would love to purchase a few of the hard to find roots here. Not to mention there are some of the smaller shops that I have heard tales of talk on the mystical side. Seeking out advice and tips would be so interesting.

Not long ago one of my close friends booked Flights to Hong Kong using Dial a Flight and they said it was so very easy. Of course they lived in the UK so it was a smashing service for him. The staff was highly trained in meeting his over all traveling needs. Stating that he was very impressed with the service that he did in fact get. He suggested that when I was ready to travel I should give them a go.

I finally have made the decision to open my windows. I just didn't want to do it and it turn off cold again.

So I make the decision to do this and what is one of the first things that I see in my room? I flippin wasp. Grabbing the spray and yelling die wasp die I knew there would be at least one at the main window.

With can of spray in hand (I felt so John Wayne) I saunter over to the window. Yes sir Miss Daisy there it was, a wasp.

Aiming my can I point and spray. Or so that was the plan. The can sprayed then stopped. Out of ammo. Running back to my desk I grab my back up can. Shake it and oh crap-o-la, its nearly gone. Never fear there was enough to kill that wasp.

Now I know it is officially spring. The flies and wasps are out. Because like I say the state bird here in Indiana is the fly. But that is another story
