Another one of our traditions is for our family to all get together and make the family breakfast at Thanksgiving and Christmas mornings. We have the traditional items but I am always looking for something new to throw in the mix. I saw this and said to myself. yes this is it. Making this will tied over the younger ones until breakfast is completely finished.


Pumpkin Smoothies

4 whole wheat graham crackers (squares)
1 cup frozen banana slices
1/2 cup ice
3/4 cup canned pumpkin (unsweetened)
1-1/2 cups orange juice
1/2 cup nonfat vanilla soy milk
1/2 cup nonfat vanilla yogurt
1 Tbsp. brown sugar

Put all ingredients in a Vita Mix or regular blender in order listed and blend until smooth. Optional: Garnish with additional graham cracker crumbs.

Serves 3.

Per serving: 206 calories, 2 g fat, 2 g cholesterol, 4 g fiber, 6 g protein, 199% Vitamin A, 101% Vitamin C, 11% calcium, 9% iron

Since I am a member of the occult community this dating site looked interesting. I did sign up to see the features that they offered instead of simply just reading the various plugs they have posted on the site its self.

The site is interesting and the graphics and web lay out was well worth the time it took to sign up and look around.

For those that are in the niche and looking for sites that promote Gothic dating you should take a look. While I was on the site there was nearly 200 members logged on so there are people there chatting, browsing and looking for their special person.

The site is easy to follow in submitting your ad, which is free. If you get it wrong or miss something a claw hand comes out and circles it for you. Nice touch, gives you that dark feeling. Plus for those that are looking for another Sc-Fi, horror or whatever venue they deem dark the site is a great lead in.

Easy to navigate with everything you need or want to know right there for you to use. The site is designed with the dark black and reds, trying to please the Goth, Vamps and other crowds. Yes, they succeeded in obtaining the look they wanted.

Now, I am sure those that read this are curious if I found my dark soul mate. The answer is no. There was no one my age or interests listed. I am sad about that.

It is a good site and for the younger generation they will definitely find what they are looking for. Definitely worth looking at and joining.

So if you are looking for that perfect Dark Angel orb on over there!

Ok, I am not a person that is fond of Pecan Pie. In other words I am not a nut about this nut. haha I do have a few family and friends that really like this type of pie. So each year I try to make one. I found is recipe that seems to have a few other ingredients that is not in my recipe I use each year. Thought I might give it go.

I guess I should mention I lost my other one in hopes that I would get out of making this pie this year

2 eggs, slightly beaten
1 cup light corn syrup
1/4 cup brown sugar
1 Tbsp molasses
2 Tbsp melted butter
2 Tbsp flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 1/4 cups pecans, coarsely chopped

1 9-inch pie shell, chilled for an hour if freshly made, defrosted for 10 minutes if frozen. (See pie crust recipes.)

1 Preheat oven to 375°F. Spread pecans along the bottom of the pie shell. Mix the remaining ingredients and pour over pecans. The pecans will rise to the surface of the pie.

2 Bake at 375°F for 45-50 minutes until the filling has set. About 20 minutes into the cooking you may want to use a pie crust protector, or tent the edges of the pie crust with aluminum foil to prevent the pie crust edges from burning.

3 Remove from oven and let cool completely.

Serves 8.

A friend of mine that lives in the sunny state of California got a hold of me and was talking about the Van Halen tour.

They were so excited that this group would be playing in Sacramento this month. Asked me if I would like to fly there to catch the show since it will be well after the T-Day holiday. I actually thought about it for a minute then had to say no.

Since I am more than likely going to be there in Feb. 2008 I see no sense in going twice like that. Besides I said Van Halen will be playing forever and there is always a second chance. I know the last tour date I see is in Missouri in March of 2008. Maybe we can meet there. Gee, if I do that I can see some relatives while I am there. haha

I know a few others that will be going to see them. Hope they have a lot of fun without me! haha

Take a lot of pics and buy me a souvenir and send it all to me. haha I want a T-Shirt. Size large to sleep in!

For the holidays I was trying to think of something new to do with the ceiling lighting in the family room. We have the main light that is attached to the ceiling with the ceiling fan, but I wanted something that will be less harsh and warmer when on. Of course we will have the Christmas tree in there so that will put off a lot of the light in the evening.

Yet I wanted something warm to go a long with it. Still working on that idea right now. Maybe Martha Or Rachel will ave something on one of their shows that I can use.

Just really hard to think of something like this to do that will be quick and easy but ave the same effects that I want. If you have any suggestions, other than a lamp, let me know!

As I was laying in bed today it all of a sudden hit me that Thanksgiving is nearly 3 days away. Well, 4 but I count 3 because I have to start preparing the dinner and for the guests. Yuck is my favorite words there.

I have been looking at new cars. At the start of the year, 2008 I am planning on biting the bullet and purchasing a new one.

I have finally chosen the Chrysler 300. A little spendy but I fell in love with it. Wanted something to fit the new lifestyle and this was the car that will certainly do the trick.

As I was checking the cars out I saw some of the Chrysler 300 accessory products that I can also purchase.

Very lovely indeed. I am thrilled to death at this future purchase. Then again if you have seen this car I think that you would also be. I am thinking about a champagne color. Not really white but a shade of it. I figure if I am spending that much money on a car I might as well go the distance and get what I want.

I thought about other colors but none spoke to me.

Can not wait for the first of the year. I guess you can say that is going to be my birthday present to me!

It has been cold for most of the day. OK all day long. Of course I have not felt very well today so I spent most of the day in bed. So very tired after this weekend. To many nights staying up late with the guys I tell you that much.

It hurts my checking account though when I do not work. haha So tonight for the next couple of hours I will do a little work. Not a lot that is for sure as I still do not feel up to par at all.

The cold centers in my back from when I fell so the pain is terrible. All I want to do is lay in one spot doing nothing.

Nothing does not pay my bills at all. Now does it?
