The clock is ticking quickly away towards the final Christmas day. Shoppers are in full force now, looking at the calendars and knowing that it is nearly over.
A lot of questions that I have been receiving is about time. How long will it take to arrive is the number one question. The second is will it arrive before the 24th at least.
Right now I don't see a major change in the length of time it is taking for items to be received. Maybe a day or so off but other than that all is just as slow as it has ever been. For the normal services of First Class and First Class Parcel items are arriving pretty smoothly and still on time. I give that another week until it begins to slow up and days are added to delivery times.
For International seekers of shipping I do see a much slower arrival time. I had one customer ask me to estimate a time of arrival. There was no way that I was stepping into that hot kettle of stew. Explaining to him that International mailings are extremely hard to figure out arrival times. Might take 10-21 days to get anywhere Internationally. Does not matter if it is the holiday season or not.
There is still plenty of time for purchasing and sending online. Just make sure that you stay on top of the store, seller or whomever you are buying from. Next week is the week to watch the services you are using to have things shipped to you. Choose Priority or First Class Parcel if you are able to. Skip the parcel Post as that takes awhile to get anywhere at all normally.
I know that I just purchased something and the seller sent a notice that she was sending it Parcel Post. Well, I paid for Priority and quickly emailed her. I do not ever purchase Parcel Post. I wanted to make sure that the item arrived before the last week of Christmas. haha Plus it is a present. But if I had not caught the shipping info it would have gone out the slow boat way. So, watch those notices that come in!
