Dad seems to be doing OK. Thanksgiving was really different for us of course especially since he went to bed and refused to get up and sit at the table with the family. The next day followed suit of the same behavior. He stayed in bed only to get out to eat and maybe use the bathroom.
By Saturday he was back to semi normal and sitting by the wood stove talking to the family once more. Yesterday he stayed up all day long which really took me by surprise. Maybe it was because everyone was downstairs. Not very sure of the reason.
His side of the family is still getting under my skin with the way they call and act. If they call they totally expect someone to answer the phone. No, we are not supposed to have a life other than to be there when and if they decide to pick up the phone for a five minute conversation with him. And if we are out or not near the phone to answer, oh my the attitude that is left on the answering machine. You know personally I do not care that you called to talk to him. Nor do I need a reminder of who you are. That makes me laugh, I am (insert name) Larry's sister and I called to talk to him. You know you stupid snatches I know who you are.
Let's think about this. His family rarely called, now with his dying they all want to talk to him. Acting like it is my personal job to make sure they get an update or to be here when and if they call. I don't think so.
I am not on call for updates. Calling at 10PM is also pissing me off. Especially during the work week. Never liked those people and now I like them even less if that is possible
