Halloween Date Has Changed

I have some really surprising news for all you hard core Halloween fans. In our town Halloween has been changed to October 30th. Thats right you are not able to trick or treat on the 31st.

In passing by the news stand of our 1 1/2 page newspaper the headlines told of how Halloween was to be celebrated on the 30th in our fair one horse town. And between the hours of 5-8PM only. A Fall festival that occurs each year is going on which lasts until 7PM giving the children one entire hour to go out trick or treating. Nice.

Who made this new rule? I am supposing the mayor and a few of his cronies. The town had NO advance notice of this. No vote. No say. No nothing. We are being told when and how to proceed on this day.

I am personally just pissed off. Who are these people to say when and how we should celebrate something? How did they get the power to tell us what day to do anything? Especially when this is a state wide event? I am not the only person pissed off at this and wanting to know who thought this up.

In the paper it gave no reasons at all. AND the story that was written was incomplete. Just ended mid sentence. Good reporting gals.

Yesterday I talked t a couple of older ladies and they were as pissed as me. Going over the reasons that it might be happening. Cut down on the younger generation TP-ing since the original Halloween falls on a Friday? Nope not the case as our schools are closed both Thursday and Friday. One of the ladies is calling the mayor to voice her dissatisfaction as well.

If they start having the power to tell us when to do one thing they will move on to something else in my personal opinion. Power does this to people. What next? No Christmas on the 25th? No St. Patrick's Day? No they will leave that one as they all drink like fishes.

Halloween will not be Halloween if the day is changed. The children will not understand why they are unable to go out like other towns and cities on Friday. OH, we can tell them that the Nazi regime that runs our town has decided that we can't go out but they won't understand that at all.

On Monday I am calling to voice my opinion. Loudly at that. I want to find out what they will do to those unsuspecting people that do not read the rag paper we have and go out on the normal scheduled day.

I mean I want to know if they are issuing Trick or Treat tickets. I want one of those Or are they going to throw us in Halloween jail?

So in our town the Halloween cops will be out to get us. I thought Hitler was dead
