Increased Status

I was a little more than surprised this morning when I checked my Power Seller stats and saw that I was raised from the Bronze level to the Silver level on eBay.

What does that mean? Actually it means that I get a higher percentage taken off my final value fee, supposedly better customer service (I laughed when I just wrote that) and a few other quirks that add up to nothing at all.

When I first became a Power Seller I was pretty thrilled to see that bronze star. With this new one all I did was look at the stats of what I have to do now to remain a Silver and stay there. In order to move up I have to sell I think it was $8000 in a three month period. Oh OK!

Maybe I would have been more thrilled if it weren't for the new time of answering that they have implemented. You see now when people ask a seller a question they give this time when the seller will answer. Such as one day or one hour. I notice that this is for buyers as well but of course we don't get pissed off at buyers for not answering, now do we? Nope, only the lowly sellers.

Anyway, maybe later I will think that it is cool to see the next level up. Right now I just see it as more work and rules to work by.
