I use my digital camera nearly every day. Right now I have a Kodak EasyShare C300. It is a pretty good camera and the software is easy to use. In my business I take pictures of mainly oils powders and occult kits. They turn out really well, capturing the details that I need.
For jewelry and other items that are shiny this camera is just not cutting it. I have progressed down the line with digital cameras upgrading as I go. Right now I am looking into upgrading again at the first of the year.
The one camera that I have found is eye candy to me. I it is a drool toy that is for sure. I probably won't purchase it but it is my dream camera. The camera that I am fantasying about is the Nikon D200 with an 18-200 mm lens. It only costs a mere $2200+! Dream on mom
One of the main reasons that this it the camera that I want is that as my businesses grow I take more and more detailed pictures of items that are posted on my sites for sale. Some have fine details that this dream machine would pick up easily.
I of course take pictures of my family and pets. I think that one of my favorites is of last year when my son was sledding in the early evening with his cub scout troop. The sun was just going down and the view was beautiful with the snow, sunset and the clouds that were in the sky. Love that photo. My latest photo is the one at our local Jamboree with my son and son in law. Turned out good and am going to have it blown up to an 8 x 10 for the wall.
With the camera I have now there are a lot of shots that turn out lousy. That is why I am upgrading. I know I have to lower the price tag but that is OK. I love looking at new
digital cameras. I am a gadget freak that is for sure.
The one tip that I can give is try to get a blue screen around your photos. Especially for smaller items like flashy jewels etc. It seems to cut the glare and makes the pictures seem more professional. I have been using digital cameras for over 10 years and still learning new things on how to improve my pictures.
When I am taking pictures of my mystical products I try to utilize other items to accent the items for sale. Like my coffins, which I am really happy about, I used spiders and cob webs. Boy, staging makes a difference.
I love the ease of digitals and do not understand how people can use disposable cameras any more.
Oh, before I end this if my children read this, Christmas is around the corner. Hint Hint
