School Openings Soon!

Ah, the first day of school is nearing. You can feel the excitement in the air. Not from the children but the parents! Do you remember when you had the first day of school approaching? I do. I think my fondest memory was getting ready for kindergarten. The red dress that I was going to wear teh first day of school. Red dress, black patent shoes and red socks. Oh, and the black head band with the darn curls flowing down my back. I was so excited! I loved that dress and could not wait to wear it to school. Antoher thing that I couldn't wait to use was by black patent Barbie lunch pail. Wish I still had that. Worth some $$ now. haha

My mother would always write my name on everything and I mean everything. Those infamous black pens that in those days would not stay put at all. Running with water or simply wiping off. Sure would have been helpful for her if she had been able to use the Color labels that they have now. Would have made her job of easier if she were able to use a label maker that is for sure.

I have a label maker. Using the labeler is so much easier than writing in markers. Stays put and there are so many pretty colors now that it makes distinguishing what is what and where it goes so much easier. I use it for my office on a lot of the supplies and herbal items. That way I have everything color coded so I can just see the hot pink label and know that those are the herbs for the oils and so on. Using it there has spread to the household items.

If I can pull it away from the children making labels for their items for school, I code different things that we normally use so they can put things back. Does it work? I would rather not answer that. haha But the system is a good one. Really it is!
